It is the mission of P.O.S.S.E to educate and inform our members of the social tragedy of drunk driving. To focus on education and enforcement strategies, and agency support to identify and report drunk drivers to local law-enforcement.
Goals
- To mobilize an effective campaign to curtail drunk drivers based on a coordinated system of mutually reinforcing components.
- Is to educate and protect the public by identifying and reporting the drunk drivers.
- To increase deterrence of DUI violations and thereby reduce the number of crashes, deaths and injuries caused by impaired drivers.
Purpose
D.U.I. – P.O.S.S.E. was designed and developed to offer the citizenry the opportunity to work with local law enforcement in creating a safer community and reduce the deadly impact that driving while impaired or intoxicated has on families. We also recognize that great programs are built with great people with a passion and purpose in mind.

The importance of quality training can never be under stated. We provide the quality training for all community volunteers. This 24 hour course of instruction includes educating volunteers about specific areas such as:
- To Detect Drunk Drivers
- To Identify Drunk Drivers
- Know and Recognize Typical Human Indicators
- Know and Recognize Typical Vehicle maneuvers symptomatic of DWI associated with initial observations of vehicles in operation.
- Vehicle Operations Course
- Report Writing
- Evidence Collection
- Take Action in Reporting the Drunk Driver to local law enforcement agencies within the jurisdiction of the violation.
